Challenge:
A Fortune 100 global company wanted to improve organizational effectiveness and build leadership that leads by example in a region and develop a shared sense of ownership for a strategic business growth ambition between a group of leaders of multiple countries, regional functional leaders and manufacturing leaders with different cultural backgrounds and seemingly disparate business goals.

Solution:
The KMC team developed a unique approach of engaging all regional leaders in modification of their leadership behavior following a comprehensive framework of 'Leading by Example' along the principles of collaboration, focus on facts, good meeting practices and shared goals. For each element of the framework, the team analyzed present challenges leaders faced, developed planning and coaching tools, and actively facilitated each member of the regional leadership group in becoming role models in addressing organizational and business challenges.

Results:
Organization leaders nearly doubled their peer review assessments in clearly defined measurable aspects of all four elements of the leadership framework, resulting in an unprecedented sense of regional unity, collaboration and overall organizational effectiveness. This encouraged multiple regional business improvement projects. The cooperative efforts of this group were rewarded with the achievement of market share leadership and record revenue by year's end.
